Welcome to the UALC Resource Sharing Blog. I would like to thank Dianne Hirning-Dixie for her effort and time in setting this up. Great job Dianne! As the 2007-2008 Resource Sharing Committee chair, I would like to encourage everyone to take advantage of this great resource. Please feel free to use it to share great technologies/not-so great technologies, ILL tips and anything you feel would be beneficial for our committee members.
As you probably know, CEU is a little behind the times with many of the ILL technologies. We have ARIEL (which only randomly works for us) and we do not have ILLIAD. I'm finding that a lot of our books are coming back without the booksleeves, especially from out of state/non-UALC libraries. If any of you may have any tricks up your sleeves and are willing to share, please let me know how you apply your booksleeves so they're harder to remove but not damaging to the book. Thanks!
Tomorrow the Directors will be meeting at SLCC. The following is the Resource Sharing Committee Council Report:

About the sleeves, our label has "DO NOT REMOVE THIS LABEL" in capital letters and in RED. If you already have this printed on your sleeve, may I suggest considering the possibility of printing it color, making the font bigger, or simply create a stamp so that you can stamp it in RED onto your ILL sleeves.
I would also email libraries that keeps removing the sleeves.
We use removable labels. Avery 6464, and we slap them right on the front of the book. :)
